Has a small bathroom with shower, sink, toilet. Kitchen has full-size gas stove and a medium-height refrigerator. (There are new cabinets and a new refrigerator since the photos were taken.) Very limited closet -- if you have lots of clothes, this might not be the place for you.
Short walk to HSU/CalPoly, about 6 blocks -- 10 blocks to town. Easy walk or bike ride. Great neighborhood. Off-street parking.
Pets: Definitely NOT suitable for a dog. A cat might be okay. No smoking inside or out, by tenant(s) or friends -- very important. If you smoke, please do not reply -- sorry.
Possible yard space for gardening. There are lots of possibilities here -- some large spaces that are sunny. If you are interested in gardening and being out in the yard, let me know.
This is a cute, comfortable place. People love this Cottage and usually stay for a couple of years or more. It's in a sunny and quiet location, close to the main house but isolated.
If you like living in "nature" then say more. Right now the yard is completely overgrown, so there's lots of possibilities here. This is the opposite of a "manicured" yard.
Thanks, stay happy, and have a great day !

Starting date would be around August 20 - September 10.
Utilities are shared, and run about $160.
Wi-Fi is available -- your shared cost is $25.

The photos are arranged to view what you see when you walk into the cottage, and then make a 360-degree turn to your left. You see the back wall with the big windows, then the wood-paneled side wall, then continuing to the back wall again, then the kitchen and the back door, then the bathroom, then the armoire that's the closet and the front door. Photos of the furniture shows how one person had it laid out. This is a small place -- the photos perhaps make it look bigger than it actually is. It's about 15' x 19' on the inside. Big enough for a double-size bed, desk, shelves, eating table, couple of chairs... you get the idea. It is unfurnished. There are new cabinets and a new mid-size refrigerator since the photos were taken.
You can see just a bit of the outside deck.
The location shown on the map is not accurate, just approximate.

Important: When I've listed this cottage in the past, many people wrote about it. If you are truly interested in being considered, please supply some information about yourself, as outlined below. Thank you.
--------------------------------------
When you write, please describe when you'd be ready to start the tenancy and what your ideas are as to how long you would intend to stay. Also include some words on who you are -- what each person who would be living here is doing (major and year if at school, or your job/where you work, etc), your interests, what you like to do in your free time, the number and type/model of vehicle(s) that you would have, and other information you think might be helpful. Please do not just say "I'm in my 3rd year at Cal Poly" or "I have job at a restaurant in town." You need to say more.
A question on the application is "Where are you living currently, and what is your reason for moving?" so it would be helpful if you want to include some words on that.
This is not a listing from a property management company. There is no application fee. There may be a credit check fee. If you have a recent credit report and credit score, you can include that score figure in your reply.
Please be sure to say when you are available to view the studio and when you'd like to move in. Please put your First and Last name (or at least your first name and an initial) and "Cottage" in the Subject line -- Thank you.
